It’s Kayce from AlphaLab Gear, and I wanted to share with you that The Hardware Cup, the largest international pitch competition for early-stage Hardware Startups, will be heading to DC on February 12 at 6:30PM at Alley Powered By Verizon.
That night, 6 East Coast startups will compete for cash and prizes, and their shot at the $50,000 cash Grand Prize at the International Finals in May, along with finalists from 5 other US cities, and other international countries. One of the companies, Structured Monitoring Products, is representing Cleveland at the competition. SMP is helping vets protect pets through remote sensing innovation. The VetGuardian platform helps vets with patient surveillance by giving them an easy and more reliable way to monitor and keep surveillance on patients.
Tickets are free and open to the public, but registration is required to attend. The link to register is here. This is an excellent opportunity for the community to see what startups are popping up in their city and to support their local entrepreneurs. It is also wonderful for networking, connecting with other businesses, and seeing new products! Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
